The original Snickers Cake recipe

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 5 eggs (whites only)
  • 120g sugar
  • 5 eggs (yolks only)
  • 40g sugar
  • 100ml oil
  • 160ml warm water
  • 50g cocoa
  • 190g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder

For the caramel sauce:

  • 200g of Mascarpone cheese without salt
  • 200g of Cremette or Philadelphia cheese
  • 500ml milk cream
  • 200 grams of powdered sugar

For coating the cake:

  • 270g of dark chocolate for melting
  • 100ml oil
  • 90g of pistachios

Preparation of the dough

For the recipe to work, pour the hot water into the cocoa and mix well with a tablespoon. Then we pour the oil into it and continue to mix it well until it is well mixed. In a bowl, put the egg whites and mix them with 40g of sugar using the mixer. Mix well until the mixture becomes creamy.

In another container, put the egg yolks and mix them with 120g of sugar using the mixer. Mix the mixture until it becomes creamy and thick. Then, we put the cocoa in it, as we prepared it with water and oil. Mix well with a mixer until the mixture completely takes the form of chocolate.

Pour in the flour suitable for cakes and mix it well with a mixer. Pour the mass obtained from the egg whites into this mass and mix well. Prepare the round mold by lining it with kitchen paper and pour the dough into it. Flatten it well and put it in the oven to bake and check it from time to time. After baking, when it has cooled, remove it from the mold and kitchen paper and cut it into three parts.

Preparation of caramel sauce

In a pre-heated pot, pour 150g of sugar and mix it from time to time until it starts to take on a caramel color and melts. When it melts, add the butter, mix well and then add the milk cream. We mix this whole mass while boiling and at the end, we throw in 120g of pistachios. Remove from heat and throw in a bowl.

Preparation of the cream

So that the recipe does not fail, we put the Cremette or Philadelphia cheese, the Mascarpone cheese, and the milk cream in a container. Mix them well with a mixer and add sugar during the process. Mix well until the cream thickens.

After the cream is ready, we take the mold and place it in the pan in which we want to have the cake. We take the first layer of the cake and place it inside the mold. Pour the caramel sauce on top, but not all of it.

Then we pour the cream, again not completely. Flatten it well and place the second layer of dough on top. Cover it with the remaining caramel sauce and pour the cream, but not all, the same as the first layer. And finally, we put the third layer of dough on top, making the cake with three layers. Pour the remaining cream over it and flatten it well. Remove the cake from the mold and place it on the wire rack of the oven, to make it ready for coating.

Melt the dark chocolate in steam. After it has melted, add the oil and the pistachio and mix well. We coat the entire cake with it, using a tablespoon, and let it rest for the chocolate to rise. Once the chocolate is frozen, the recipe worked and the Snickers cake is ready to eat.
